Watch for your community food drive. Some occur through the school or at the post office. All food collected is distributed to the families in need.

Many years, the schools organize a Christmas food drive as a competition to see which class can collect the most food with the winner receiving a pizza party. If you have school aged children, ask them when the food drive will occur; it’s a great way to contribute to a fun competition as well as a great cause.
